BBQ Cheeseburgers w/ Grilled Onions and Mushrooms


Who doesn't love cheeseburgers? This burger is different than the original patty. Add barbecue sauce to the hamburger patty and you get a very juice burger. Plus a sweeter taste. Top the burger with grilled onions and mushrooms for extra flavor.

BBQ Cheeseburgers w/ Grilled Onions and Mushrooms

Serving size: 4

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon paprika
dash of cayenne pepper
dash of garlic powder
dash of salt
dash of pepper
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
1 egg (lightly beaten)
1/2 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
dash of salt
dash of pepper
4 hamburger buns
4 slices of pepper jack cheese
mayo
barbecue sauce


Directions:
1. Mix the ground beef, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, pepper, barbecue sauce, and egg in a bowl.
2. Divide mixture and shape into balls.
3. Press into patties and set aside. 
4. Add olive oil and balsamic vinegar to pan on medium heat.
5. Add sliced onions and mushrooms to pan and mix.
6. While the onions and mushrooms are cooking, preheat grill.
7. Place 2 hamburger buns into toaster oven for 3-5 minutes.
8. Put patties on grill and cook for about 3 minutes on each side for medium rare.
9. Take patties off the grill and place pepper jack cheese on each patty to melt.
10. Turn off the onions and mushrooms pan and take off of heat.
11. Spread mayo and barbecue sauce on one side of the bun.
12. Place patty of the bottom bun.
13. Place onions and mushrooms on top.
14. Add additional toppings to your liking.

Serving with your favorite side and enjoy!
